SNP-COX

We have submitted an outline bid for funding to run a multicentre, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial (celecoxib vs placebo).  The trial aims to recruit around 600 patients from 100 UK study sites starting in late 2009.  Patients would be stage II and III colorectal cancer patients who have completed adjuvant treatment but who also harbour specific variant COX2-SNPs (around 25% of the population).  This work has developed from translational studies in the VICTOR trial.
